Eating in the East – Eastern Cuba Culinary Tour

Join our brand new 8-day all-included Cuba Unexplored tour through the rugged and remote eastern Cuba to explore the island’s culinary roots. With its far-flung location and unique influences, eastern Cuba, also known as «el Oriente», has clung to its culinary traditions that have long faded out in other parts of the island.

During this foodie adventure, we will:

– Forage and feast in the Sierra Maestra mountains just like Cuba’s independence fighters.

– Visit sustainable farms, family fincas, and the ruins of agricultural plantations from the days of eastern Cuba’s sugar and coffee boom.

– Learn to prepare classic dishes, delicacies, and cocktails from the region.

– Break bread with local people over hog roasts, seafood on the beach, and lashings of rum.

– Dine in eastern Cuba’s most experimental and ambitious restaurants that celebrate the region’s culinary roots while bringing them into the 21st century.

As we eat our way through the East, we will relish the rich stories and flavors behind every dish and every ingredient. So, join us as we explore the East of the island through food – and drink!
